FoxPro Development Tools from HalloGram Publishing:

DataImport

Pull reports and data into spreadsheets and databases.

Start with your favorite report. DataImport can read any report or text file you throw at it: mainframe, minicomputer, network server or PC. If you can download it, save it or print it to disk, DataImport can load it and pull out the data you need.

Once you've loaded a report into DataImport, you can immediately define what data you want by selecting text or drawing columns directly on the report. DataImport automatically recognizes numeric information and alphanumeric labels -- it'll even recognize dates and times. DataImport understands more than numbers and letters. Decimals, commas, percent and currency symbols are automatically recognized, as well international characters and symbols.

And DataImport won't disturb your original data files. Every change and selection is saved in a separate file called a mask. The mask remembers what data you want, how you want it formatted, and what you changed. DataImport then extracts the data without changing the original file!

DataImport masks are endlessly reusable. Need the same data from two different files? Run the same mask on both of them to get the data you want. And DataImport's append functions let you create a single master spreadsheet from any number of reports or files.

When you're ready to extract data for your next brilliant report, choose from over 30 formats including Excel 1-2-3, Paradox, dBASE, Access and more! Over 35 file formats are supported.
