Use the Springer LNCS format style file
      In the  .tex  file for the paper, after the line

\maketitle

       add the two lines

\thispagestyle{plain}
\pagestyle{plain}
 

This is a suggestion. If you get it to work another way---fine :-)

Please note that the final proceedings will NOT have page numbers from the authors --- so they will have to be removed later.
